JAKARTA. The Financial Services Authority (OJK) granted a business license to PT OCBC NISP Ventura, a venture capital company owned by PT Bank OCBC NISP Tbk (NISP).
Anggar B. Nuraini, Deputy Commissioner of IKNB Supervision I, said the license is valid from 3 January 2020. Furthermore, NISP is required to carry out and report the performance of its business to the OJK. "10 (ten) working days at the latest, from the date of commencement of business activities," Nuraini said as quoted by Kontan on Tuesday (4/2).
At the end of January, OCBC NISP Ventura prepared Rp 400 billion to invest in a number of startups.
Meanwhile, as of December 2019, 60 venture capital companies have been registered with the OJK. (KR/AR)
