JAKARTA. PT Pertamina EP, a subsidiary of PT Pertamina (Persero), is targeting to record oil lifting rate of 85,000 barrels per day in 2020.
The target is higher than the realization in 2019 (82,194 barrels per day). In 2019, the realization of oil lifting only reached 99.6% of the target set at the beginning of the year.
Nanang Abdul Manaf, Managing Director of Pertamina EP, said that his party would optimize a number of old fields to achieve its target. "80% of our oil and gas fields are old fields. So we need to use technology by using gas lifts or pumps, "Manaf explained as reported by Kontan on Tuesday (4/2) yesterday.
