JAKARTA. PT Barito Pacific Tbk (BRPT) gave its full backing for PT Chandra Asri Tbk's (TPIA) rights issue plan. In the rights issue, TPIA will issue 7.17 billion shares at most, or around 40.18% of the total number of TPIA shares.
Allan Alcazar, Investor Relations of BRPT, said that the company has not confirmed how much funds will be prepared to buy new TPIA shares. But he admitted that BRPT as the holding company of TPIA would provide full backing. "We fully support TPIA activities, "Alcazar said when met by idnfinancials.com.
Alcazar explained that TPIA also had not yet determined the ratio and implementation price of the rights issue.
However, based on idnfinancials.com observations, the price of TPIA shares at the end of the trading session on Tuesday (4/2) was recorded at Rp 8,750 per share. Using that price, then TPIA may be able to obtain Rp 62.71 trillion from the rights issue. (KR/AR)
