Zenius secures US$ 20 million in series A funding

JAKARTA - Zenius Education, a pioneer of technology-based education platform (edtech) in Indonesia, yesterday (5/2) announced a series A funding of US$ 20 million (around Rp 260 billion) to build its strong commitment in assembling a smart and bright Indonesia. In addition to Northstar Group, other investors participating in the Series A funding are Kinesys Group, and BeeNext.

Zenius plans to utilize this funding to double growth, develop appropriate technology, and expand the reach of Zenius services to all parts of Indonesia. On the same occasion, Zenius also announced the appointment of Rohan Monga as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Zenius Education.

We at Zenius believe that to be able to continue to grow, we need in-depth expertise in the field of entrepreneurship owned by Northstar Group, Kinesys Group, and BeeNext so that we can realize Zenius's vision to create a smart and bright Indonesia," said Rohan Monga, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Zenius Education.

For information, Rohan Monga has more than 10 years experience working in the field of technology. In 2010, Rohan founded a financial technology firm (fintech) while pursuing an MBA (Master’s in Business Administration). In 2013, he worked at the e-commerce giant Amazon in the area of ​​strategy development. In 2015, Rohan joined Gojek as Chief Operating Officer and became an integral figure in the formation of Indonesia's first decacorn startup. (LM)
