INOV to boost growth from bottle waste

07 February 2020 07:33

JAKARTA - PT Inocycle Technology Group Tbk (INOV) as a producer of recycled Staple Fiber (re-PSF) is optimistic that the growth of re-PSF and non-woven industry will be well maintained this year. Therefore, INOV continues to strive to secure the supply chain of re-PSF raw materials namely polyethylene terephthalate (PET) bottle waste.

"Lately, many companies on a global scale have begun to show their commitment to become an environmentally friendly company. Therefore, it is important for us to continue to secure the supply of raw materials so that we can continue to meet market demand," said INOV Director Victor Choi.

In securing raw materials, the focus of INOV at present is through the construction of a washing facility (used PET bottle processing facilities to become reakes / raw materials) and the development of an online application for collecting used PET bottles.

One of the capital expenditure (capex) allocations prepared for 2020 is to add washing facilities in the first half of 2020 (taking into account developments in the global economic situation) in addition to revitalizing operational machines.

For information, last year the company issued a capital expenditure of Rp23 billion (unaudited) for the purpose of revitalizing the engine manufacturer which currently reaches a production capacity of 35,000 tons per year and building a washing facility. (LM)
