LIMA - State-owned banknote/security printer and mint Perum Peruri has signed a contract with Bank Sentral de la Reserva del Peru (BSRP) to print new Peruvian soles banknotes after winning a tender in December 2019.

“We greatly appreciate Perum Peruri’s success in the tender, considering the strong competition with participation from other world-class companies such as [France’s] Oberthur Fiduciare Sas, [the UK’s] De La Rue, [Germany’s] Gisecke & Devrient, [Russia’s] Anomima Goznak, and [Poland’s] Polska Wytwornia,” said Indonesian Ambassador to Peru Marina Estella Anwar Bey in an official statement on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ website, Friday (7/2).

“This is also a significant moment in the context of the Indonesia-Peru bilateral relations.”

After the signing of the contract, Peruri will print new 10 soles, 20 soles, and 50 soles bills that will be launched on July 28, 2021. On the occasion Peruri also put on a presentation to the Peruvian Public Registry Agency (SUNARP), the Peruvian National ID and Marriage Registry Agency (RENIEC), and the Peruvian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
