Centratama purchases 1,054 towers from EXCL for Rp 1.62 trillion

JAKARTA - PT Centratama Telekomunikasi Indonesia Tbk (CENT) purchased 1,054 units of telecommunications towers from PT XL Axiata Tbk (EXCL) for Rp 1.62 trillion. Some of those towers are currently leased back to EXCL for the next 10 years.

As quoted from the company's disclosure published by the IDX on Tuesday (11/2), Wiwik Septriandewi, Corporate Secretary of PT Centratama Telekomunikasi Indonesia Tbk (CENT) said that EXCL had chosen Centratama Menara Indonesia (CMI), a subsidiary of CENT, as the winner of the tender for the sale of those telecommunication towers.

"The transaction is planned to be completed by the end of 2020," she said. (LK/AR)
