PGN will restructure some of its subsidiaries

JAKARTA. PT Perusahaan Gas Negara (Persero) Tbk (PGAS) or PGN plans to restructure a number of its subsidiaries in the next two years, to focus more on running the midstream and downstream gas businesses.

Gigih Prakoso, President Director of PGN, said the plan was made to improve the company's efficiency. "The purpose of the restructuring is to maximize shareholder's return, from the efficiency of business management and business focus," said Gigih as reported by Kontan on Monday (17/2).

In the restructuring, PGN will consolidate a number of its subsidiaries that have similar businesses. In addition, the company will divest some of its subsidiaries engaged in the fields outside of PGN's core business.

So far, PGN has not yet mentioned the names of subsidiaries that will be consolidated or divested. For information, subsidiaries of PGN including PT Gagas Energi Indonesia, PT PGN LNG Indonesia, PT Permata Graha Nusantara, PT PGAS Solution, PT PGAS Telekomunikasi Nusantara, PT Nusantara Regas, PT Pertamina Gas (Pertagas), and PT Saka Energi Indonesia.
