JAKARTA. The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) plans to build 11 Cross Country Border Posts (PLBN) in 5 provinces, which will cost Rp 651 billion.
Basuki Hadimuljono, Minister of PUPR, said that at the moment there was already 1 post that had been built in Merauke. "It was built in 2019, others will be built in 2020," Hadimuljono was quoted as saying by Kontan on Wednesday (19/2) yesterday.
For other locations, Hadimuljono is still waiting for decisions from a number of related institutions such as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to the Coordinating Ministry for Political, Legal and Security Affairs (Polhukam). The construction of all these posts is targeted to be completed by the end of 2020.
Funding for the project will be taken from the Ministry of PUPR's budget for 2020. (KR/AR)
