24 February 2020 11:24

SEOUL - The Director General of National Export Development (PEN) of the Ministry of Trade Dody Edward said the Indonesian Government continues to push Indonesian goods and services into the South Korean market. One way is to participate in promotion programs within the framework of partnership between ASEAN and South Korea.

This was conveyed by Dody in the 12th annual Council Director of ASEAN - Korea Center meeting which carries the theme "Connecting People, Sharing Prosperity" in Seoul, South Korea, on 20-21 February 2020.

"The Indonesian government understands the importance of trade promotion between Indonesia and South Korea in achieving mutually beneficial trade growth. We are optimistic that export development programs in various forms will bring positive results to increase business opportunities for Indonesian entrepreneurs," said Dody who was present as the Indonesian Council Director at the meeting.

Dody continued, the strategy taken to get the benefits of this collaboration is to encourage the creation of reciprocal benefits in the trade of consumer goods, expose business opportunities in the industrial sector based on artificial intelligence, and support sustainable infrastructure development. Some sectors that are of concern to Indonesia within this framework of cooperation include increasing the access of the cosmetic product market; processed food; furniture; creative service products such as animation, games and films; and the development of intellectual property from local creations.
