JAKARTA - Today (27/2) PT Bank MNC Internasional Tbk (BABP) launched two MNC Bank debit cards namely MNC GPN Debit Card and MNC Mastercard Debit Card.
"We present this card to all MNC Bank customers to get a better transaction experience," said MNC Bank President Director, Mahdan.
The debit card launched by the company today utilizes chip technology that is embedded in the ATM card so it is safer than magnetic tape. In addition, using the latest technology, customers can utilize the GPN debit and Mastercard debit networks.
The launch of this new card is expected to be able to contribute to the fulfillment of targets according to the letter from Bank Indonesia. The letter sets a minimum target of 80% of the total issued ATM / debit cards using national standard chip technology and online PIN before January 1, 2021.
MNC Bank is confident of being able to achieve this target based on the achievement of the 2020 target that was achieved back in May 2019. So with the addition of debit facilities, Mahdan believes that the conversion achievement which is currently above 67% will be achieved faster. (LM)
