JAKARTA. PT Pertamina (Persero) and PT Jababeka Tbk (KIJA) signed a cooperation contract for the development of the gas network through subsidiaries, PT Pertamina Niaga and PT Pertagas Niaga (PTGN).
Linda Sunarti, President Director of Pertagas Niaga, said that the gas network will be used by Jababeka Residence in Cikarang, Bekasi. This cooperation, said Sunarti, is in line with the government's initiative to reduce LPG subsidies.
"Until now Pertagas Niaga has served 3,949 houses in Bekasi, whose network construction is funded by the State Budget," Sunarti said as reported by Kontan on Thursday (27/2) yesterday.
Meanwhile, Sutedja Sidarta Darmono, Director of PT Jababeka Infrastruktur, said Jababeka Residence was inhabited by around 12,000 families. With the development of the gas network, Darmono is optimistic that investors will be more interested in investing in Jababeka Residence. (KR/AR)
