Bangkok Bank purchases 89.12% of Bank Permata's stake

JAKARTA - Bangkok Bank will purchase 89.12% shares of PT Bank Permata Tbk (BNLI) owned by Standard Chartered Bank and PT Astra International Tbk (ASII) each as much as 44.56%. The source of funds for the purchase of shares comes from fixed income and internal cash of Bank Bangkok.

As quoted from the disclosure of company information, Monday (2/3), the Bank of Bangkok will have a series B shares of 24,991,429,332 shares valued at Rp 3.12 trillion. While the public will own as many as 3,051,309,873 shares worth Rp714.05 billion. The shares consisted of series A shares totalling 26,880,234 shares and series B shares totalling 3,024,429,639 shares.

As of December 31, 2019, Bangkok Bank Public Company Limited had assets worth Thai Baht 3.21 trillion, up compared to 2018 of THB 3.11 trillion, up compared to 2017 of THB 3.07 trillion. While liabilities amounted to THB 2.78 trillion, up from THB 2.70 trillion in 2018, and up from THB 2.67 trillion in 2017. (LK)
