JAKARTA - Despite the fact that PT Mandom Indonesia Tbk (TCDI) recorded 5.9% revenue growth in 2019, the company's net profit declined by 16.1% YoY in 2019, from Rp 173.04 billion recorded in 2018 to Rp 145.14 billion. The decline in profit was mainly caused by an increase in the cost of goods sold by 7.2% and operating expenses.

As quoted from the company's 2019 Financial Statements published on Tuesday (24/3), the company managed to record Rp 2.80 trillion in sales revenue in 2019, higher than its record in 2018 of Rp 2.65 trillion. The company's domestic sales rose by 5.2% (from Rp 1.95 trillion in 2018 to Rp 2.05 trillion), while its export also rose by 7.9% (from Rp 697.99 billion to Rp 752.86 billion).

Most of the company's sales came from skincare products (Rp 1.15 trillion), followed by hair care products (Rp 1.10 trillion), fragrance (Rp 517.08 billion), and others (Rp 34.06 billion). (LK/AR)
