JAKARTA - PT Kalbe Farma Tbk (KAEF) on March 25 signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) in supporting the efforts undertaken by BNPB in tackling the spread of the Covid-19 virus.
"Kalbe has prepared an aid budget of Rp 25 billion which has been carried out in stages since last week," said Vidjongtius, President Director of PT Kalbe Farma Tbk. "We are ready to support the Indonesian government in tackling the Covid-19 outbreak, one of which is by channeling aid through BNPB," he continued.
For information, the assistance provided by Kalbe among others are medical equipment such as masks, rapid tests, personal protective equipment (PPE), hand sanitizers. Kalbe also provides laboratory facilities for Covid-19 testing with Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR).
Kalbe also provides assistance in the form of vitamin and nutritional products, health information and consultation services through Klikdokter, as well as other health products / services needed.
Currently, Kalbe is also preparing 1,000,000 masks, personal protective equipment (PPE), Rapid Test Kits and 500,000 nutritional products for healthcare workers. (LM)
