27 March 2020 15:32

JAKARTA. The Indonesian government received assistance in the form of 40 tons of medical equipment to handle the corona (Covid-19) pandemic from Chinese investors.

Agung Kuswandono, Maritime and Investment Coordinator, said the assistance was received at Soekarno Hatta Airport, Tangerang. The equipment, said Kuswandono, was sent in stages.

"The first stage has arrived safely, next week the second stage will be delivered," Kuswandono explained as reported by Bisnis Indonesia on Friday (27/3) yesterday.

Nevertheless, Kuswandono was reluctant to mention the name of the investors who sent the equipment. But he said that those investors were involved in the mineral and coal processing business. "This assistance comes from Chinese investors who focus on mineral and coal downstreaming," he explained. (KR/AR)
