JAKARTA - Considering the risk situation for the COVID-19 outbreak in the country and to support the efforts of the Government of the Republic of Indonesia in preventing its spread, AirAsia Indonesia (flight code QZ) took the initiative to suspend all flight services from April 1, 2020.

Domestic flight routes will be suspended until April 21, 2020, while international routes will be suspended until May 17, 2020. AirAsia Indonesia will continue to monitor the situation and will take the anticipatory steps needed to restart flight services later when the situation improves.

Affected passengers will receive notification via email and SMS that are registered when purchasing tickets. AirAsia offers flexibility of choice including the opportunity to 'Change Schedule' indefinitely and without additional fees, or 'Credit Account' in the form of a purchase balance that can be used for the next ticket purchase for 365 days.

For prospective passengers who have an urgent need to travel in the near future, AirAsia Indonesia suggests changing its departure schedule to before April 1, 2020. Prospective passengers are also advised to monitor the latest information available at support.airasia.com and AirAsia social media accounts from time to time. (LM)
