The number of passengers in Halim Perdanakusuma Airport declined due to Covid-19

JAKARTA. PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero) recorded a decline in the number of passengers at Halim Perdanakusuma airport, due to restrictions on activities to reduce the spread of the coronavirus (Covid-19).

Muhammad Awaluddin, Director of Angkasa Pura II, said that on 16 March the number of passengers on domestic routes was 86,653. The following week, after the implementation of "work from home" regulation, the number of passengers on domestic routes dropped significantly.

"It experienced a decline of 35.07% to 56,265 passengers on the following week [23 - 29 March]," Awaluddin explained as reported by Kontan on Tuesday (31/3) today.

In addition, the decline in the number of passengers was also followed by a decline in the number of aircraft movements, from 1,217 aircraft movements to 988 aircraft movements. (KR/AR)
