J&T Express raises service standards amid Covid-19 pandemic

02 April 2020 08:57

JAKARTA - As a company engaged in shipping business services in Indonesia, J&T Express supports and follows the government's recommendations in the process of preventing Covid-19 spread.

Since the beginning of March 2020, J&T Express has implemented preventive standards in operations such as the use of masks for all employees, sorting packages using gloves, as well as disinfection of each package to be sent. J&T Express also utilizes the use of automatic sorting machines in a number of big cities such as Jakarta, Bandung, Surabaya and Semarang, this is done to minimize direct contact between workers and each package sent.

"We understand that current conditions have an impact on many parties, for J&T Express itself we continue to increase efforts to continue to be able to deliver packages. In addition to increasing employee safety, we also impose a number of policies to improve customer convenience such as attaching a label that reads "passed through the sterilization process" on every package that has been disinfected, as well as providing a change of address service for recipients of unreachable packages such as offices that have implemented work from home policy and other locations that are currently unreachable," said Robin Lo, CEO of J&T Express in a release.

With the change of address service, J&T Express allows recipients to continue to receive their packages. In addition, as a form of empathy in the current conditions from March 30 to April 15, 2020, J&T Express applies free mask delivery for all donors who want to donate masks to both Covid-19 victims and medical workers, this program also applies to non-commercial individual shipments specifically for personal use throughout Indonesia.
