Covid-19: KAI to cancel 44 long distance trips

JAKARTA - PT Kereta Api Indonesia’s (Persero) Jakarta Operational Area will cancel 44 long distance trips from Gambir, Pasar Senen, and Jakarta Kota railway stations to prevent the spread of the coronavirus (Covid-19).

According to KAI Jakarta Operational Area Head of Public Relations Eva Chairunisa, despite the reduced schedule the company will still provide separation distances between passengers in accordance with the government’s instruction regarding phsyical distancing.

“Despite the reduced schedule, the Jakarta Operational Area will ensure that separation distances between passengers on board operating trains will be imposed by officers,” said Ms Chairunisa in an official statement, Tuesday (2/4).

In addition, Ms Chairunisa added that passengers affected by the cancellations can request full refunds excluding booking fees. (MS)
