Covid-19: Confirmed cases in Indonesia reach 1,790 with 170 casualties

JAKARTA. The government has confirmed a total of 1,790 coronavirus (Covid-19) cases in Indonesia with 170 casualties as of Thursday (2/4).

According to the government's spokesman for Covid-19 handling Dr Achmad Yurianto, 113 additional cases have been confirmed since 12:00 Western Indonesian time on Wednesday (1/4), while 13 more patients have succumbed to the disease.

"Nine patients have recovered, bringing the total number of recovered patients to 112," said Dr Yurianto in a press conference.

In addition, Dr Yurianto has reminded that the public to comply with the government's instruction regarding hygiene, physical distancing, and avoiding gatherings. "We must also comply with instructions from religious leaders," he said. (KR/MS)
