JAKARTA - The National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) welcomed as many as 15,250 volunteers who registered themselves to assist in handling the COVID-19 outbreak throughout Indonesia.
As of 2 April, the Ministry of Health said that there are 1,790 positive COVID-19 cases in Indonesia, with 170 deaths.
BNPB divided the volunteers into two groups; medical volunteers (2,529) and non-medical volunteers (12,271).
Some of the volunteers are going through medical check-ups before getting assignments. (LK/AR)
