JAKARTA - PT Sampoerna Agro Tbk (SGRO) managed to record a 2% increase in consolidated sales, from Rp 3.20 trillion in 2018 to Rp 3.26 trillion in 2019.
The supporting factor for sales in 2019 was the increase in sales volume on palm oil and palm kernel products, which is also supported by the number of inventory returns. Palm oil sales reached Rp 2.79 trillion in 2019, or 7% higher compared to 2018. Meanwhile, palm kernel sales posted a decline of 28% to Rp 336.79 billion in 2019.
The Company's palm oil production decreased by 4%, to 385,079 tons in 2019, as a result of prolonged unfriendly weather in the second semester. The decrease was successfully partially offset by the result of Fresh Fruit Bunches ("FFB") originating from the Company's core plantations that was still able to climb 6%, amounting to 1,095.80 thousand tons.
