JAKARTA. The number of coronavirus (COVID-19) patients in Indonesia continues to increase to as many as 2,956 people, with 240 deaths, as of 12.00 WIB today.

Achmad Yurianto, Government Spokesperson for COVID-19 matters, said that there were 218 new patients. In addition, 18 more patients had recovered.

"There were 19 more deaths, so there were a total of 240 cases [patients died]," Yurianto explained this afternoon through a press conference.

With the addition of new patients infected with COVID-19, the Government of Indonesia, said Yurianto, appealed to the Indonesian people not to travel too far, since it can increase the risk of contracting the virus. "The risk is higher" Yurianto said. (KR/AR)
