JAKARTA - PT Dharma Satya Nusantara Tbk (DSNG) successfully recorded a net profit in 2019 amounting Rp 178 billion. This figure was down by 58% compared to profit in 2018 of Rp 427 billion.
President Director of DNSG, Andrianto Oetomo explained that DNSG's financial performance in 2019 was supported by the increase in CPO sales volume by 46% compared to 2018 due to additional CPO production from the two oil palm plantation companies the company acquired at the end of 2018.
"Despite such significant increase in our CPO sales volume, the depressed CPO price has been dragging our 2019 revenue achievement down to increase by only 21% against last year," Andrianto Oetomo explained in a press release.
In 2019, DNSG posted total sales of Rp 5.74 trillion. Of this amount, the largest contribution came from the palm oil business segment amounting to Rp 4.74 trillion and the remaining Rp 1 trillion from the timber business segment. (LM)
