JAKARTA - PT Surya Dhoho Investama, a subsidiary of PT Gudang Garam Tbk (GGRM), will commence the groundbreaking of Dhoho Airport in Kediri, East Java on Wednesday (15/4). The ceremony will take place virtually by starting the preparation of the airport's location and site formation.
In a stock exchange filing published on Tuesday (14/4), Gudang Garam Corporate Secretary Heru Budiman said that Dhoho Airport will serve as an alternative airport in East Java for people in Kediri.
Located in Grogol Village, Bulusari, Dhoho Airport has an investment value of Rp 9 trillion and will be co-run by Gudang Garam and PT Angkasa Pura I (Persero). The airport is about 13 km away from the Kediri city centre with a travelling time of around 30 minutes.
In addition, Dhoho Airport is located 120 km from Juanda International Airport in Sidoarjo, which serves the Greater Surabaya area, with a travelling time of 1.5 to two hours via toll road. It is also located 87 km from Abdul Rachman Saleh Airport in Malang with a travelling time of three to four hours. (LK/MS)
