JAKARTA - Civil servants will remain working from home until May 13, 2020 to prevent the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19).
“The period of home assignment for civil servants is extended to May 13, 2020 and will be evaluated further as necessary,” states Minister of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reforms’ Circular Letter No. 50/2020 signed by Minister Tjahjo Kumolo, Monday (20/4).
According to Mr Kumolo, the policy will be evaluated every two weeks to see the effectiveness of its implementation, especially in regions with large-scale social restrictions.
“Every two weeks, the Ministry of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reforms will evaluate activities and public services during the home assignment period, especially in regions that are imposing large-scale social restrictions,” said the Indonesian Democratic Party-Struggle (PDI Perjuangan) politician.
