JAKARTA - Gojek partners began their first delivery of social assistance of the Social Security Network Policy for Affected Communities of COVID-19 in the DKI Jakarta area, initiated by the Ministry of Social Affairs (Ministry of Social Affairs) of the Republic of Indonesia (RI) at the direction of the President of the Republic of Indonesia.
Gojek's involvement in the program came after PT Pos Indonesia Regional IV Office appointed Gojek to mobilize driver partners in distributing social assistance in the form of food packages. This collaboration is part of Gojek's support, through GoSend's leading logistical services, for the Social Security Network Policy Program for Affected Communities of the Republic of Indonesia Ministry of Social Affairs.
Head of Logistics Gojek Junaidi said, "As a nation’s company, Gojek is called to continue to support the efforts of the government and the people of Indonesia in going through this difficult time. We are grateful for the trust of the Ministry of Social RI and PT Pos Indonesia which cooperates with Gojek, through the GoSend service to distribute social assistance to vulnerable families in the DKI Jakarta area. In this program, the driver partners will stand by in areas determined by Pos Indonesia and distribute assistance in the form of food packages to the destination locations."
Driver partners will pick up food packages from the drop point location and send it to the recipient's address, based on data provided by PT Pos Indonesia. The social assistance in the form of a nine-basic package will be distributed to 1.2 million families in need, based on data from the DKI Jakarta Government.
The food packages contain food and daily necessities, such as rice, cooking oil, sweet soy sauce, chili sauce, instant noodles, sardines, corned beef, tea bags, UHT milk, and bar soap. From April to June 2020, each head of the beneficiary family will receive a distribution of nine-basic-necessities twice a month, valued at Rp 300,000 per package. (LM)
