PLN will issue bonds to obtain funds for power plant construction

JAKARTA. PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (Persero) or PLN will issue Shelf Registration Bonds III phase VII/2020 with a total value of Rp 1.74 trillion. The funds obtained from the bonds will be used for power plant construction.

In the disclosure of information, PLN's management explained that there are four series of bonds that will be issued; Series A (Rp.316.7 billion with an interest rate of 7.92% per year and a 3-year tenor), Series B (Rp 99.16 billion with an interest rate of 8.25% per year and a five-year tenor), Series C (Rp 312.18 billion with an interest rate of 8.56% and 7-year tenor), and Series D (Rp 1.01 trillion with an interest rate of 9.1% per year and 10-year tenor).

The bonds will be offered on 30 April 2020. PLN appoints PT Bank Tabungan Negara (Persero) Tbk (BBTN) as trustee in the issuance of these bonds.

In addition to power plants, PLN will also use the funds to build transmission and interconnection networks in various regions. Starting from Sumatra, Java, Bali, Nusa Tenggara, Kalimantan, Sulawesi, Maluku, and Papua.

PEFINDO gave a rating of "idAAA" on the bonds. (KR/AR)
