JAKARTA - Today (22/4), Gojek signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with BCA Finance providing a procedure for reducing vehicle installments for GoCar driver partners.
GoCar driver partners who register and meet relaxation requirements and pass the selection test from BCA Finance can get a 6-month installment waiver without upfront payment and a tenor extension of up to 24 months.
Hans Patuwo as Gojek's Chief Operations Officer said, "We thank BCA Finance for the flexibility of the installment given to our GoCar driver partners. This scheme is ideal where GoCar driver partners who have registered and fulfilled the relaxation requirements and passed the selection can get a 6-month installment waiver and an extension of up to 24 months. We believe this collaboration with BCA Finance will greatly help partners so that their income can be focused on meeting their daily needs amid the COVID-19 pandemic."
The effort undertaken by BCA Finance is also a realization of government directives to finance companies to restructure motor vehicle loans, which are regulated in Financial Services Authority Regulation No.11 / POJK.03 / 2020 concerning the National Economic Stimulus as a Countercyclical Policy on the Impact of Coronavirus Disease Spread 2019. Where informal sector workers, including online driver partners, can apply for loan installments to banks and finance companies. (LM)
