JAKARTA - The government revoked its policy that increases the premiums for the Health Care and Social Security Agency (BPJS Kesehatan) starting from 1 April 2020, according to the Supreme Court Decision No.7 / P / HUM / 2020.
"The government respects the Supreme Court's decision. In principle, the government wants the JKN program to continue and healthcare services can be given to everyone, as a form of the presence of the government," said Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture (Menko PMK) Muhadjir Effendy as quoted from the Setkab.go.id page on Wednesday (22/4).
According to the Supreme Court decision, the premiums for BPJS Kesehatan will return to Rp 25,500 (class III), Rp 51,000 (class II), and Rp 80,000 (class I). Meanwhile, the excess premiums that have been paid in April 2020 will be calculated in the payment for the following month. (LK/AR)
