Delta Dunia Makmur still maintains its 2020 target despite declining performance

23 April 2020 08:20

JAKARTA. PT Delta Dunia Makmur Tbk. (DOID) still maintains its targets and guidelines set at the beginning of this year, despite its declining performance amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

Head of Investor Relations of Delta Dunia Makmur, Regina Korompis said that the realization of the overburden (OB) stripping volume reached 32 million bank cubic meters (bcm) in March 2020. In the first quarter of this year, the company's OB volume was recorded at 87.3 million bcm, down by 11% YoY. However, coal production volume only fell by 1% YoY to 12 million tons.

DOID estimates that in the coming month's production volumes will continue to decline in line with the temporary suspension of mining activities from PT Bayan Resources Tbk. (BYAN), one of its customers, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Regina believes that the company can still meet its annual production targets by boosting production in the remaining months after the mine resumes operations.

"It is still too early to assess the COVID-19 effect, because indeed none of our clients has revised their full-year targets, therefore we will not revise our targets and guidelines this year," Regina said, as quoted from Bisnis on Wednesday (22/4)

The company targets this year's revenue to be in the range of US$ 800-US$ 900 million with EBITDA in the range of US$ 320-US$ 260 million. (AM/AR)
