JAKARTA. The government stated that 273 regencies and cities have been affected by the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, around 53% of the total number of regencies and cities in Indonesia (514).

Achmad Yurianto, the Government Spokesperson for COVID-19, said that the 273 regencies and cities are spread across all provinces in Indonesia.

DKI Jakarta is still a province with the highest number of confirmed patients (3,599), followed by West Java (862 patients), East Java (690 patients), and Central Java (575 patients).

Meanwhile, the death toll due to the COVID-19 in DKI Jakarta reached 326 people, 77 people in West Java, 67 people in East Java, and 54 people in Central Java.

Yurianto appealed for everyone to treat those who are not too sick at home. "We realize that if more and more people are sick and treated in hospitals, it will be even harder for us," he said in a press conference today. (KR/AR)
