JAKARTA. PT Astra Agro Lestari Tbk's (AALI) net profit grew significantly by 892% YoY to Rp 371.06 billion in Q1 2020, despite the fact that its revenue only grew by 13.24% YoY to Rp 4.79 trillion.
The company's ability to reduce its cost of revenue from Rp3.89 trillion to Rp3.86 trillion, as well as additional income from foreign exchange gain of Rp 104.36 trillion, contributed to the surge in AALI's net profit.
Sales to Sulawesi were the highest contributors to the company's revenue of Rp 2.64 trillion, followed by Sumatra (Rp 2.13 trillion) and Kalimantan (Rp 1.87 trillion). (AM/AR)
