JAKARTA. Perum Perumnas requests for a postponement of payment to the holders of its Medium Term Notes (MTN), which matured on Tuesday (28/4). The total value of the MTN is Rp 200 billion.
Finance Director of Perumnas Eko Yulianto said that his party was forced to ask investors so that it can postpone the principal payment of its MTN. The reason for this is because the company's financial condition suddenly changed drastically because of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
"Perumnas' business dropped significantly in the last two months due to COVID-19," said Eko.
According to Eko, the coronavirus pandemic caused the company's business to drop by around 75%, since the company's market segment is the low-income community that are significantly affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. (AM/AR)
