Unilever books first quarter net revenue of Rp 11.2 trillion

JAKARTA - PT Unilever Indonesia, Tbk (UNVR) managed to record net revenue amounting to Rp 11.2 trillion, growing 4.6% compared to the same period in the previous year.

This sales growth was driven by domestic sales growth of 4.4% and export sales growth of 9.0%. The company also recorded a net profit in the first quarter of 2020 amounting to Rp1.8 trillion, climbing by 6.5% compared to the same period in 2019.

Hemant Bakshi, President Director of PT Unilever Indonesia, Tbk said "Innovation is the company's main key in maintaining positive growth in the 1st quarter of 2020, we recorded twenty-one launches and relaunches that we conducted in various segments. The launch of these innovations is in line with the company's strategy to remain relevant and able to compete in the future (future-fit)."

In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, UNVR also made a series of efforts to maintain its business growth. Unilever focuses on three things, namely protecting the health, safety and welfare of employees; ensuring business continuity and meeting product needs to help consumers in these challenging times; and contributing to help the wider community in various efforts to overcome the COVID-19 pandemic.
