JAKARTA. The government is preparing the technical guidelines for credit interest subsidies for Housing Loans (KPR) and Vehicle Ownership Loans (KKB).
Deputy Commissioner for Public Relations and Logistics of the Financial Services Authority (OJK) Anto Prabowo revealed that the government is preparing technical guidelines for the relaxation of consumer credit, especially for KPR and KKB.
"At present, the government, OJK, Bank Indonesia (BI), and the Deposit Insurance Corporation (LPS) are preparing the regulations and technical guidelines," Anto said on Sunday (3/5).
He gave more information about the subsidy. The subsidy will be given from April to September 2020. For KKB, the subsidy will be given for loans below Rp 500 million. Meanwhile. for KPR, the subsidy will be given in two schemes. For loans below Rp 500 million, a 6% interest subsidy is given in the first three months, and 3% for the next three months. For loans more than Rp 500 million to Rp 10 billion, a 3% interest subsidy will be given for the first three months and 2% for the next three months. (AM/AR)
