NTB SOE Task Force distributes more than 4,700 PPEs

MATARAM - Task Force Response Covid-19 State Owned Enterprise of the West Nusa Tenggara Region (NTB) consisting of 34 SOEs and coordinated by PT Pengembangan Pariwisata Indonesia (Persero) or Indonesia Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC), SOE developer of the Mandalika tourism area, have already distributed a total of more than 4,700 Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for medical personnel and the community in a number of areas in NTB since 18 April 2020.

The PPE aid consisted of 880 hazmat shirts, 730 N95 masks, 120 boxes of medical masks, 1,730 gloves, 258 goggles, 218 standard face shields and 283 boots intended for medical personnel, and 700 fabric masks aimed at the public.

NTB Covid-19 SOE Task Force Response Chief Executive I Made Pari Wijaya said, "We understand that the provision of PPE for medical personnel is a top priority to provide protection for those who serve in the frontline in handling Covid-19 in NTB, especially with the increasing trend of Covid-19 patients. Therefore, through the Covid-19 SOE Task Force Response, 34 SOEs in NTB are committed to work together to help provide PPE for medical staff in stages, hoping that there will not be a shortage of PPE for those who work in hospitals and puskesmas in handling ODP, PDP, and patients infected with Covid-19."

Most of the assistance for medical personnel has been delivered to Covid-19 referral hospitals in NTB, namely the NTB Provincial Hospital in Mataram, Bima Provincial Hospital, Dr. R. Soedjono Selong Provincial Hospital in East Lombok, and H. L Manambai Abdulkadir Hospital in Sumbawa Regency. (LM)
