Bluebird donates 20,000 PPE to several cities

JAKARTA - As part of the company's commitment to play an active role against COVID-19, PT Blue Bird Tbk (BIRD) as the leading transportation provider in Indonesia has delivered Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) assistance in the form of PPE clothing, medical masks, gloves and goggles to support the move and government efforts against the COVID-19 pandemic.

A total of 20,000 PPE were submitted directly to the department of transportation, hospitals and related agencies that cover various cities in Indonesia starting from Greater Jakarta, Bandung, Batam, Bali, Bangka Belitung, Lombok, Padang, Pekanbaru, Palembang, Semarang, Surabaya, Surabaya to Yogyakarta.

Director of PT Blue Bird Tbk, Andre Djokosoetono said "We understand that PPE is a crucial factor for medical personnel to minimize the risk of transmission. Therefore, we hope that this PPE contribution can provide extra ease and help the government and medical personnel as the frontline in providing treatment for COVID-19 patients.”

Providing PPE assistance from Bluebird Group is part of a series of company programs and policies in tackling the spread of COVID-19 in Indonesia. Previously, since the beginning of March 2020, PT Blue Bird Tbk has implemented preventive measures ranging from providing disinfectant booths for employees and drivers, internal counseling, thorough cleaning of the fleet after operation, as well as the distribution of reusable masks for drivers in need and hand sanitizers in each fleet.
