JAKARTA. The government has prepared capital of around Rp 10 trillion which will be injected into PT Jaminan Kredit Indonesia (Jamkrindo). The capital injection is related to the credit restructuring program during the Covid-19 pandemic.
In addition, the government also prepares Rp 4 trillion-Rp 5 trillion in state capital investment (PMN) to Asuransi Kredit Indonesia (Askrindo).
"So maybe we will propose to the House of Representatives for PMN, because if we opt for capital restructuring, they will be eroded. So there is Askrindo and Jamkrindo, "said Finance Minister Sri Mulyani in a virtual working meeting with Commission XI of the House of Representatives on Wednesday (6/5).
"This is still a rough figure, almost Rp 10 trillion will be reserved for Jamkrindo's PMN so they have the capacity to guarantee the additional volume they have to guarantee. We also prepare Rp 4 trillion - Rp 5 trillion for insurance premiums, "he said.
He explained, from tests conducted by the government, the need for liquidity for the credit restructuring program is around Rp 280 trillion. (AM/AR)
