BRI Ventures and Visa are involved in Series C funding for Nium

JAKARTA. BRI Ventures, a venture capital company owned by PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI), has been involved in the Series C funding with Visa for Nium, a fintech from Singapore.

On Wednesday (6/4), Nium explained that the funds raised will be used to help the company achieve the company's goals in 2020.

"Visa and BRI Ventures' participation is a form of trust in our business model and our resilience amid a fairly competitive climate," said Prajit Nanu, CEO and Co-Founder of Nium, in an official statement received by idnfinancials.com.

The company targets to achieve several goals this year, including expansion to Europe to get millions of Euros each year. Nium will also focus on getting large-scale contracts from the maritime sector. In addition, the company will also work with Asian Neobank, to expand beyond Singapore. (KR/AR)
