JAKARTA. Sales of PPE and non-medical masks contributed 32% of the total sales of PT Sri Rejeki Isman (SRIL)'s garment division in the first quarter of 2020, which reached US $ 77.70 million.

Meanwhile, total SRIL sales in the first quarter of 2020 reached US$ 316.62 million. Of this amount, domestic sales reached US$ 127.48 million.

Corporate Communications of SRIL Joy Citradewi said the company had received many requests or inquiries to export masks and PPE. The request, mostly came from Germany, Japan, and America, she said.

However, SRIL has not yet obtained permission from the government to export the PPE and masks, and the export is likely to be realized after the second quarter of this year. "For medical goods, it is still prohibited until June 2020. But for non-medical masks, we should have been able to (export them)," Joy said as quoted from KONTAN on Monday (11/5). (AM/AR)
