BNI will issue EMTN worth US$ 2 trillion on the SGX

JAKARTA. PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBNI) will issue global bonds with a maximum value of US$ 2 billion or around Rp.29.81 trillion through the Euro Medium Term Notes (EMTN) program.

Meiliana, Corporate Secretary of BBNI, said the EMTN program was registered on the Singapore Stock Exchange (SGX-ST). These securities will be issued in stages with further announcements.

"Plans for issuance and offering of debt securities under the EMTN program will be carried out in the future," she explained through information disclosure on the Indonesia Stock Exchange on Monday (11/5).

Meiliana explained that funds obtained from the EMTN will be used for business expansion and to pay its debts. "It will have a positive impact on the company," Meiliana said. (KR/AR)
