Telkomsel donates ventilators, PPE and social assistance amounting to Rp 25 billion

JAKARTA - Telkomsel is committed to continue moving forward to strengthen its role in a joint effort to help the public and the Government of the Republic of Indonesia face the COVID-19 pandemic in Indonesia. Telkomsel donated ventilators as well as more than 100,000 Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) which were periodically handed over directly to a number of Emergency Hospitals and Referral Hospitals handling COVID-19 throughout Indonesia.

Telkomsel President Director Setyanto Hantoro said, "Telkomsel has consistently shown its concern for all Indonesian people in facing this COVID-19 pandemic. Entering the 25th year of the company, we realize that Telkomsel has a very strong responsibility in ensuring that the needs of the community can always be met under any conditions. In addition to providing quality services, Telkomsel feels the need to strengthen its role to be present with the Government of Indonesia and all stakeholders, including all parties in the Telkomsel digital ecosystem, by presenting CSR activities that are expected to ease the burden of medical personnel in carrying out noble duties by fighting on the last defense line."

For information, medical devices provided by Telkomsel in this assistance include ventilators, personal protective equipment (PPE) such as hazmat clothing, infrared thermogun, masks, and other medical equipment. More than 100,000 units of medical devices will be submitted regularly to those in need. Furthermore, the assistance will be distributed directly to several Emergency Hospitals (RSD) such as Pertamina Jaya Hospital, COVID-19 referral hospitals spread across various regions in Indonesia, as well as through third parties such as SOE Foundation.
