BTN records Rp 240.11 trillion loan disbursement in Q1

JAKARTA - PT Bank Tabungan Negara (Persero) Tbk (BBTN) recorded Rp 240.11 trillion in loan disbursement in the first quarter (Q1) of 2020, down from Rp 249.70 trillion in the same period last year. During the period the company posted Rp 6.82 trillion in non-performing loans.

According to the company's Q1 financial report published on Sunday (17/5), the composition of its loan disbursement consists of Rp 216.96 trillion in conventional loans and Rp 23.91 trillion in sharia loans. In the same period last year, distribution of conventional loans reached Rp 226.78 trillion, while sharia loans reached Rp 22.92 trillion.

The largest conventional loan sector was housing (Rp 209.25 trillion), followed by construction loans (Rp 7.41 trillion); transportation, warehouses, and communication (Rp 4.40 trillion); business services (Rp 3.95 trillion); trade, electricity, gas, and water (Rp 1.56 trillion); social services (Rp 1.31 trillion); restaurants and hotels (Rp 1.10 trillion); manufacturing (Rp 100 billion); mining (Rp 45.45 billion); agriculture (Rp 20.74 billion); and others (Rp 145.54 billion). The largest sharia loan sectors were housing (Rp 20.10 trillion), construction (Rp 2.41 trillion), and business services (Rp 1.39 trillion).

In addition, BTN also absorbed Rp 204.23 trillion in third-party funds, down from Rp 206.90 trillion. The funds were dominated by time deposits (Rp 114.31 trillion), followed by conventional current accounts (Rp 50.13 trillion), wadiah current accounts (Rp 50.02 trillion), savings (Rp 36.09 trillion), and wadiah savings (Rp 36.88 trillion).
