JAKARTA. Sandiaga Uno, a politician from Gerindra party and owner of the Saratoga business group, said that people have to be optimistic and invest in a number of potential sectors despite the COVID-19 pandemic.
This was said by Uno in a discussion with Bahlil Lahadalia, Head of the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) at the weekend. "We must have a positive and sustainable impact in developing this country, and I believe now is the right time," Uno said.
There are a number of sectors that are considered quite promising at the moment. ranging from health, telecommunications technology, massive online open courses, legal services, to clean energy.
Meanwhile, Lahadalia claimed that BKPM remained committed to supporting small-scale to large-scale investments. "This outbreak does make us lethargic, but there is hope," Lahadalia explained. (KR/AR)
