JAKARTA. PT Bank BTPN Tbk received US$ 2.8 billion (Rp 46 trillion) loan from its parent company, SMBC.
Managing Director of BTPN Ongki Wanadjati Dana said that liquidity was the main challenge faced by banks during the COVID-19 crisis. Bank BTPN, he said, was one of the banks that had very strong liquidity to support the bank to achieve its targets, Ongki said in a press release this week.
However, Ongki said that BTPN still had very good liquidity with a liquidity coverage ratio (LCR) of 212% and a net stable funding ratio (NSFR) of 116%, far above the minimum requirement of 100%.
LCR is an instrument to calculate short-term liquidity ratios, while NSFR is used to calculate long-term liquidity ratios. (AM/AR)
