JAKARTA. This year, the government allows state mining holding company, MIND ID, not to pay dividends due to the coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19).

President Director of  MIND ID Orias Petrus Moedak said that his party would use the funds for expansion and acquisition.

"We are trying not to ask for help or subsidies directly from the government in this difficult time," said Orias, as quoted from CNBC Indonesia this week.

Last year, MIND ID paid Rp 1 trillion in dividends to the state. Orias hopes that the dividend payments can be made over the next 3 to 5 years, until the conditions become stable. (AM/AR)
