JAKARTA - PT BRI Agroniaga Tbk (AGRO) is optimizing its product, Pinjaman Tenang (Pinang) to maximize lending amid the COVID-19 pandemic, which affected the company's revenue and profit quite significantly in Q1 2020.
Hirawan Nur Kustanto, Corporate Secretary of PT BRI Agroniaga Tbk (AGRO) said that with Pinang, prospective debtors can apply for loans without having to come to the bank. "During the pandemic, this product really helps the company to expand its business," he said, as quoted from the company's disclosure on Tuesday (26/5).
According to him, the COVID-19 pandemic and the Large-Scale Social Restriction (PSBB) policy have affected the company's operations, forcing the company to reduce the number of employees working from offices by 50. Despite this, the company has not laid off any of its employees. (LK/AR)
