JAKARTA - The Financial Services Authority (OJK) has imposed a three-month temporary restriction on PT Asia International Insurance Brokers, since it does not have two commissioners. This was conveyed by OJK in the disclosure of information on Wednesday (27/5) about the letter signed by Deputy Commissioner of Non-Banking Financial Industry Supervision I on 20 May 2020.
In the letter, OJK decided that Asia International did not comply with Article 19 paragraph 3 of POJK No.73 / POJK.05 / 2016 concerning Good Corporate Governance for Insurance Companies. Despite the section, OJK stressed that the company must fulfil its obligations.
Nuraini asserted the company is prohibited from carrying out insurance brokerage activities until it has two commissioners. (LK/AR)
